Florence fire fighters

Two Florence fire fighters will be back in court today for bail hearings.

49 year old Stephen Eric Tremblett of North Sydney and 24 year old James Clayton MacDonald of Point Aconi were charged last week with setting as many as 16 fires over the last few months.

Florence Fire Chief Dave Julian told the cape Breton Post he was feeling betrayed in learning the accused were two of his own members, but also relieved the rash of arson’s recently has been solved.  There were no injuries in any of the fires and all but two involved abandoned buildings.
