Donkin Mine concerns

Cape Breton MP Rodger Cuzner is cocerned about the importation of three American workers to work on new equipment at the Donkin Mine.

He called it strange that Kameron Coal would bring in foreign workers when there are many qualified Cape Bretoners. The IBEW LOcal is also concerned.

Kameron Coal confirmed it brough in the three temporary foreign workers from West Virginia bvecause they have the maintenance expertise related to safety, but didn’t elaborate. Cuzner says the union should file a grievance with Service Canada.
