A special service will be held Sunday in Forchu for a world-renowned chef who died last week, according to the Canadian Press.
Dorothy Cann Hamilton, the founder and C-E-O of the International Culinary Center in New York, died in a car crash on Highway 105 in Melfort. She Maintained a summer home in Forchu.
United Church lay minister Nancy Whitney-Latham says Hamilton was beloved for her contributions to the small town. Her restaurants only served lobsters from Forchu fishermen. She was also working with Cape Breton tourism officials on ways to attract more people to the area.
