Victoria County food plan

Victoria County wants public venues to offer more nutritious snacks.

It’s offering $10,000 grants to encourage hockey rinks and community halls to get rid of chocolate bars and potato chips in favour of better choices, such as buying a panini maker or baking machine instead of a deep fryer.

Applications for the grants will be available next month.
