Cove yard sale

The Annual Cove Guest Home Yard Sale is taking place this Saturday June 3rd from 8AM--11AM, at Bethel Presbyterian Church Hall, 9 Brooklyn Street, Sydney Admission is $1.00, Children under 12 free.We will also have a fudge and muffin table. Free Polish Cafe

Everyone is welcome to a free Polish Cafe Monday, June 5, at 11 a.m. at the Polish Village Hall in Whitney Pier. There will be a short workshop called "Polish Hospitality for Beginners." Prof. Tom Urbaniak will have the release of his new book In the Public Square: A Citizen's Reader.

Feed the Hungry Night

The grade eight students of Sydney Mines Middle School have been working very hard to host Feed the Hungry Night at their school on Wednesday June 7th from 6-8 p.m. The school choir will entertain.  Student art work will be on display and students will be selling decorative bowls and plates, which they have created, in order to raise money for their local food banks.
