The Atlantic Memorial Park Society is pleased to announce of the newly restored Chapel Point Battery Command Post in Sydney Mines on Wednesday, July 3rd beginning at 9:30. Please see the Lockman's Beach entrance, assistance is available if required. Entrance fee is $8.00 for adults, $5.00 for students and seniors and the family rate is $23.00 Tour guides are also available. Come celebrate with us by exploring the Command Post and enjoying some light refreshments.

Undercurrent Youth Centre is hosting a "Second Chance Market". The entire youth center will be transformed into a huge market with a large variety of items from electronics to home decor, books and more! There will be door prizes and Entry is by donation. The market runs from 12pm - 5 each day at 224 York Street, Glace Bay. This is a fundraiser for the centre.

The Northern Yacht Club Junior Sailing Association will be hosting our annual Shaelynn Memorial regatta which is in memory of a late sailor, Shaelynn Dowling, who left us far too soon.
