Tuesday, Feb. 28 6:30-8:00 pm McConnell Library Everyone welcome | Pjila’si An evening to celebrate the life and writing of the honoured Mi'kmaq poet and elder Rita Joe. With special guests Frances Sylliboy and Ann Joe who will share a few memories of their inspirational mother and some of their favourite Rita Joe poems. Part of the evening will also include screenings of the 1993 NFB documentary ‘Song of Eskasoni’ (28 mins.) and the video for ‘Gentle Warrior’ (6 mins.)…

100 Women Who Care CBRM will be holding their quarterly giving-circle gathering on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at St. Michael's Polish Village Hall, 972 Victoria Road, Whitney Pier. Networking is from 5:30-6:30 p.m., and presentations and voting take place from 6:30-7:00 p.m. New members are always welcome!
