United Way Virtual Program for Seniors
United Way Cape Breton have just launched a virtual program seniors can do from home via technology to socialize more, learn more about how to use computers and social media, play games, and more. Meetings are done via Zoom and connects community members with trusted United Way volunteers. If anyone is interested, they may email unitedwaycb@gmail.com or call 902-562-5226.

The bus will be parked with fresh fruits and veggies at a reduced price on July 18th, Aug 1st, Aug 15th, Aug 29th from 10:00am - 11:30am. There will also be an accompanying vendor/flea market. Everything will be held outdoors and social distancing protocols will be in place.

Unveiling of Plaque to Honour the Polish Pioneers of Glace Bay
There will be a short, special outdoor ceremony to unveil a plaque to honour the Polish pioneers of Glace Bay. Wednesday, September 30, at 11 a.m. at the Dawe Ave. Recreation Field near Holy Cross Church, Glace Bay. (Rain date October 1 at 11 a.m.) The plaque was sponsored by generous donors. This will be the final community event for this year's first ever Nova Scotia Polish Heritage Month.
